The Stray Shopping Carts of Eastern North America

OK? Here is an article I got in my email. This is good stuff. Where do people come up with this stuff? My comments will be in RED.

WARNING- I have not read these books, I have no idea what they encompass. I neither support the books nor their authors, this is only a list. Thanks-Shawn

British industry magazine The Bookseller has announced this year’s shortlist for the oddest book title of the year, according to a Feb. 22 story from the AFP news agency.

Visitors to the magazine’s website,, can make their choice from titles unearthed by publishers, bookstore workers and librarians from around the world. Among the nominees for The Diagram Prize:

I Was Tortured by the Pygmy Love Queen by Jasper McCutcheon; What do you say to this guy. Long Live the Queen?

How to Write a How to Write Book by Brian Paddock; This guy just needed money for drugs. Crack kills man- Just say no!

Are Women Human? And Other International Dialogues by Catharine A. MacKinnon; Nope, they are SuperHuman, I have watched my wife give birth 3 times.

Cheese Problems Solved by P.L.H McSweeney; Didn’t Sherlock Holmes already figure this one out? Or is this the question of cutting the cheese? Dude, whoever smelt it dealt it!

People who Mattered in Southend and Beyond: From King Canute to Doctor Feelgood by Dee Gordon. Say that 10 times real fast……….

Last year’s winner was The Stray Shopping Carts of Eastern North America: A Guide to Field Identification, by Julian Montague. This one I can identify with. Nothing worse than a herd of stray shopping carts WITH THE NAME OF THE STORES ON THEM, roaming around the parking lots causing all kinds of mischief.

Me again, nothing spiritual in this one, just thought you could use a laugh. I can see you through your monitor and most of you weren’t smiling before but you are now, exept you, you only have a half smile. Oh well, can’t please everyone.

Smile, make people wonder what you’re up to!
